Change in Men’s Breakfast This Saturday

Previously, we announced that our next Men’s Breakfast was moved to Saturday, February 4, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM due to the flurry of church activities toward the end of January. But, recently we changed the location. The breakfast will be served at Phil Walter’s home, 1209 Castleport Road, Winter Garden. The price is right, too. IT’S FREE!! Following the meal, we will enjoy a devotional time designed just for guys. So, invite your buddies to join you.

Sarah Bracht Wins Church News Contest

Congratulations to Sarah Bracht for winning our recent Church News Contest. Over a period of five weeks, she collected clues that she found in New Horizons’ Church News Update. Then, she was the first person to unscramble the clues and submit her answer. Her prize is a $25 gift certificate for the Cracker Barrell Restaurant. It will be awarded to her this Sunday, February 3.

Journey to Experience God with Us

On Sunday, we began week 4 of our “Experiencing God” Journey. This week we are learning about how God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the Church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways.

If you missed last Sunday’s message, you can listen to it by going to our website’s home page and clicking on “GodCasts (Audio Teachings)” at the top of the page. Then, just choose the sermon you want to hear and click on the headphone icon. The GodCasts are posted no later than Wednesday after they are presented live in our Worship Celebrations.

It isn’t too late to join us on this spiritual journey with us. To get started, come to Westbrooke Elementary School (500 E. Tomyn Blvd., Ocoee) this Sunday at 10:00 AM for Aaron’s Bible class and stay for our Worship Celebration at 10:35 AM to hear Aaron’s message.

This Sunday Is Soup ‘R Sunday

This Sunday, February 5, you can help people in need on Super Bowl Sunday by donating at least one can of soup to New Horizons’ Soup ‘R Sunday. These cans of soup (or other canned food) will be donated to the West Orange Christian Service Center, which helps needy people throughout the year. Last year, the Orlando Christian Service Center collected about 15,000 cans of food around Super Bowl Sunday.
